# Send Notification

Send one or more Gravity Forms notifications already configured on the form.

## When to use it

Use this when you want Gravity Forms to own the email template, recipients, attachments, and conditional logic, but Flowcrafter to control timing—for example, send an approval email only after review. Use [Send Email](/documentation/flowcrafter/nodes/actions/send-email/) for a message composed entirely in the workflow.

## Settings

| Setting | What it controls |
| --- | --- |
| Form Source | The form that owns the notifications. Usually detected automatically. |
| Entry Source | The entry used to resolve notification merge tags and conditional logic. It defaults to the current entry context. |
| Notifications | One or more notifications from the resolved form. With none selected, the step does nothing. |

The selected source supplies an entry ID, and Flowcrafter reloads its current Gravity Forms data before resolving merge tags and conditional logic.

## Output and branches

The step has one output and adds no named flow tags. It asks Gravity Forms to send the selected notifications, then continues.

## Good-to-knows

- Notifications used by Send Notification nodes are suppressed during Gravity Forms' normal submission pass. This prevents double-sending.
- The step does not provide per-message delivery results. Gravity Forms and the site's mail transport control whether a message is ultimately delivered.

## Example

Select the form's **Application approved** and **Approval summary for staff** notifications. Place this step on the Yes branch of a [Condition](/documentation/flowcrafter/nodes/logic/condition-entry/) that checks whether the application status is Approved. The applicant receives their approval message, and the team receives a matching summary. Merge tags in both notifications use the selected entry.
