Does choosing a quantity reserve those places?

The example on this page is a simulation and reserves nothing. A live setup must define how submissions and payment status affect inventory; do not treat a selected choice as a temporary reservation.

Can several forms share the same capacity?

Yes. Advanced inventory resources can share a limit across fields or forms. Use that when multiple registration paths draw from the same pool of places.

Should I use Inventory or Bookings?

Inventory fits fixed quantities such as places in a listed workshop. Bookings is the better starting point when visitors need to choose times from service and resource availability.
