Why not list every option in the Rank field?
Choosing five options first keeps the ranking focused on each respondent’s priorities. They put their own shortlist in order instead of ranking every option.
Can I ask for a different number of picks?
Yes. The minimum and the maximum are settings on the checkbox field, so three or ten works the same way.
Does this need code?
One line of JavaScript. When Populate Anything rebuilds the Rank field’s choices, the drag handles stop responding until the snippet from our write-up switches them back on; the free Code Chest plugin holds it with the form. Everything else is field settings.
