Start every client report
with the details in place.

Choose a client and bring their history, manager, specialists, and services into the reporting form. This uses the account-context step from Maatwerk Online’s larger reporting portal.

Illustrative experience

The finished experience

Start with the account context, not an empty form.

The person writing the report sees who is involved and what the client buys without looking those details up again.

A good fit for
Agencies and teams whose deliverable has several authors.

  1. 1

    Keep the client details together

Maintain a client record with its manager, assigned specialists, services, and useful history. The featured agency keeps these in client posts.

    Gravity Forms

  2. 2

Choose the client for this report

Populate the client choices from those records and use the selected client ID to filter the fields that follow.

  3. 3

Bring the account context into view

Populate the manager, specialists, services, and history into the reporting form. The writer can start their section with the relevant details already in place.

What you’ll need.

Start with Gravity Forms. Add the capabilities this solution needs, then make the experience your own.

Taking it further

Add these optional plugins when your project calls for more.

Before you start

  • Client records with the fields you want to populate.
  • Staff-only access to the reporting form and client data.
  • For the optional section-form handoff, a submitted report entry, an Easy Passthrough token link and explicit mappings for the report and client IDs.
  • For the optional client report view, already-assembled report entries with a client user ID and release status. Require login and filter every list and detail query by both; configure editing permissions separately.

Get this built.

A plan covers how many of our plugins you run at once, and on how many sites. Here is what this one needs.

Required

  • GP Populate AnythingPerks

Optional

Gravity Perks Basic $59 /year

Covers this on one site. More sites need Advanced or Pro.

Gravity Perks Pro $299 /year Taking all 5 optional perks too makes it 6 in all, which needs Pro.

your project.

Does this assemble everyone’s sections into one report?

This recipe fills the account context. Maatwerk’s full portal also used Copy Cat and custom snippets for collaboration and report handling. Easy Passthrough can prefill separate section forms, but connecting their submissions into a final report needs a separately designed assembly process.

Can a writer finish a long section later?

Yes. Gravity Forms Save & Continue provides a manual resume link. Optional Advanced Save & Continue adds automatic saving and loading plus draft management.

Can clients read finished reports in a portal?

Entry Blocks is an optional modern display layer for completed report entries. Require login, filter both list and detail views to the current client and Released status, and keep staff editing permissions separate. It does not assemble the report for you.

Does Word Count have to block long summaries?

The standard perk enforces the limit. Maatwerk used a custom snippet to make its 250-word count advisory and permit longer submissions; reproducing that behavior requires the customization.
