Sell the product exactly how they want it.

A product page where the options are a Gravity Form. The customer builds what they want, watches the price move, and adds it to the same WooCommerce cart as everything else in the shop.

Illustrative experience

  • One form, a whole product category
  • Fix a configuration from the cart
  • WooCommerce still does tax and shipping

The finished experience

The order arrives ready to make.

Customers configure the thing themselves and check out in the store you already run, and the order carries the choices the workshop needs to build it.

A good fit for
Made-to-order shops: signage, blinds, framed prints, cakes, anything built per order.

  1. 1

Attach the form to the product

Give the product a regular price, even $0, then point one Product Configurator feed at it — or at a category, so three shirt styles share a single configurator instead of three.

  2. 2

Let the choices set the price

What lands in the cart is the product’s base price plus the form’s total, so every Product and Option field carries its own amount and a Total field on the form shows the running price as they choose.

  3. 3

Send the order on ready to fill

An item meta template writes the configuration into the cart, the order and the emails in your own words, and Number fields mapped to weight and dimensions let a shipping plugin rate the delivery.

What you’ll need.

Start with Gravity Forms. Add the capabilities this solution needs, then make the experience your own.

Taking it further

Add these optional plugins when your project calls for more.

Before you start

  • An existing WooCommerce store and GS Product Configurator.
  • A regular price on the product, even $0 — WooCommerce shows no Add to Cart button without one.
  • WooCommerce’s classic Cart and Checkout shortcodes; the block versions are not supported yet.
  • A Total field on the form if the customer should watch the price as they choose.

A plan covers how many of our plugins you run at once, and on how many sites. Here is what this one needs.

Required

  • GS Product ConfiguratorShop

Optional

Gravity Shop Basic $99 /year

Covers this on one site. More sites need Advanced or Pro.

Gravity Perks Pro $299 /year

Only if you add GP Conditional Pricing, GP Advanced Calculations, GP Nested Forms, GP Populate Anything and GP Advanced Conditional Logic.

Every plan renews at the same price, and you can upgrade any time for the difference.

Make it fit
your project.

What does the customer actually pay?

The product’s regular price plus the form’s total: every Product and Option field on the form adds to it. If the form should own the price outright, set the product to $0 and show a from-price on the shop page with the feed’s Display Price setting.

Where does the order end up in Gravity Forms?

Each configuration is an entry, attached to the cart item and then to the order, with the payment details synced back. Feeds wait until the order is paid, so a spreadsheet row or a CRM record is only created for an order that went through.

Which calculations need another perk?

Simple dimension arithmetic uses native calculations. Advanced Calculations adds advanced functions and conditional formulas. Advanced Conditional Logic is a separate optional choice for grouped option-visibility rules; neither replaces Product Configurator or sets up the store for you.
