Plugin of the Week: Code Chest

This gem of a plugin lets you implement and organize form-specific scripts and styles for simple, portable customizations.

We gave this free plugin some shiny new update graphics this week. Plus, we added a headache-saving warning if it detects the use of any of Gravity Forms’ form rendering events (e.g. gform_post_render, gform/postRender, or gform/post_render).

Code Chest already runs snippets on these events, so including them will result in the code being bound multiple times. Gross.

Changelog: Quick Bites

Our changlog is packed with delicious updates. Here are few of the tastiest bites.

GS Product Configurator: We’ve added a new filter to bypass processing attached forms when adding products to cart. This is useful if your form only contains optional options and you want trigger happy customers to be able to get to checkout as quickly as possible.

GC OpenAI: You can now include non-editable field values in Gravity Flow Workflow Steps to regeneration requests. For example, if you have a field that isn’t editable on a User Input step but still want that field’s value to be part of the request sent to OpenAI, that’s now possible!

GC Google Sheets: We’re not-so-secretly working on adding support for editing existing rows in your sheets on form submission. We’ve made some serious improvements to this functionality this week. See the changelog for more details or ping us directly for a crash course.

New Snippet: Swap Button

Here’s a niche little UI booster that allows you to add a “swap” button between Drop Down and Multi Select fields. This was originally written for a Pro customer who provides language translation services. With this snippet, he was able to offer his users a quick way to change the “From” and “To” languages.
