Name your donors, then write back by tier.

The donors who want to be listed appear on a page nobody hand-builds. When there is news, each tier of givers gets the update written for it.

Illustrative experience

  • Donors choose how they are listed
  • A wall built from the entries
  • One send per tier of givers

The finished experience

Opted-in donors on the wall. Relevant updates in their inbox.

Donors who consent appear on the wall, and your team can send an update to a selected tier of givers.

A good fit for
Nonprofits, clubs and campaigns running more than one appeal a year.

  1. 1

Ask how they want to appear

Add an unchecked choice asking permission to appear publicly, a display name, and an optional support message. Collect payments through your configured payment add-on and feed.

    Gravity Forms

  2. 2

    Publish the wall

Configure Entry Blocks to include only entries whose publication consent is checked. Select only the display name, message and other fields the donor agreed to publish; if the wall represents completed gifts, filter for the corresponding payment status too.

  3. 3

Write back one tier at a time

Email the people who submitted the form, with conditional logic narrowing each send to the amounts that update was written for.

What you’ll need.

Start with Gravity Forms. Add the capabilities this solution needs, then make the experience your own.

Before you start

  • A donation form with an unchecked publication-consent choice, and a page for the wall.
  • To collect money in the form: an official payment add-on, its connected gateway account, and a configured payment feed.
  • Configure and test the Entry Blocks consent filter, public fields and any completed-payment filter before publishing the wall.

Make it fit
your project.

Can a donor stay anonymous?

Leave publication consent unchecked by default, then configure the wall to include only checked entries. That privacy behavior comes from your form and block filters, not an Entry Blocks default. A donor who opts in can choose the permitted display name; keep contact and payment details off the wall.

Do the amounts have to show?

No. The wall carries only the fields you put on it, so the amount can stay on the entry where the tier filter still reads it.

Can donors change their own listing later?

Only donors with an account on your site: front-end editing belongs to the entry's owner, or to a role you grant the capability. For an anonymous gift, you make the change.
