Gravity Connect: OpenAI is a deep, direct, and cost-effective integration between Gravity Forms and OpenAI. It lets you use the same models behind ChatGPT to generate and analyze text, images, documents — and do a ton of other AI stuff — for a single yearly fee.
With 1.1, we implemented the Responses API and the latest GPT models, laying down the important foundation for the. Here’s the scoop.
What is GC OpenAI?
- AI form fields. Answer questions, create images, and more during form completion.
- Post-submission AI actions. Run code, analyze images and documents, and generate text, audio, and transcriptions after submission.
- Deep Gravity Forms integration. Use live Gravity Forms data in your prompts, including all messaging roles (System, User, and Assistant).
- Conditional logic support. Send AI results wherever they need to go (e.g., social media) or only show an AI field under certain conditions.
- Content moderation. Filter out non-desirable content (e.g., harassment) before it hits your staff.

What’s new in 1.1?
The Responses API integration is the headliner. OpenAI’s most powerful API is now at your forms’ disposal, with the ability to use tools like file analysis and running Python.

GPT 5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna are also now supported, making OpenAI’s frontier models available directly in the Gravity Forms layer of your workflow.
Are you using Assistants with GC OpenAI?
With the Responses API came the Assistants API shutdown, which is happening on August 26th. Please update to 1.1 before that date — it will migrate all of your Assistants settings from your OpenAI platform to GC OpenAI automatically.
