GWW 321: Sun Spells

Half off everything we make — plus up to 25% off the rest of the ecosystem. Also: GP Bookings hits 1.0, and a big batch of Gravity Forms 3.0 fixes.

Greetings, wizards!

I just got back from my annual summer trip to the OC to visit my wife’s family. This is one of those vacations that actually feels like a vacation for me. We stay busy but not too busy and we eat like queens and kings of Narnia. It is consistently the highlight of my summer every year. ☀️

Speaking of summer…

Hot: Gravity Summer Sale

For two weeks this August, your favorite shops in the Gravity Forms ecosystem are running their biggest sales of the summer — together.

The first-ever Gravity Summer Sale runs August 10–24, with deals up to 50% off.

We’re going all in with 50% off everything Gravity Wiz makes — Perks, Connect, and Shop. No coupon code required. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.

And we’re in good company. GravityKit, Gravity PDF, JetSloth, Cosmic Giant, and others are offering at least 25% off — and Gravity Forms and Gravity Flow are joining the fun too. 🙌

If you’ve been waiting to pick something up from the Gravity Forms ecosystem, this is probably the week to do it.

Everything goes back to normal on August 24.

Arrived: GP Bookings 1.0

After a long beta and a lot of real-world scheduling, GP Bookings is officially 1.0. 🗓️

And it comes with the feature you’ve been asking for since roughly day one: User Assignments.

You can now assign a WordPress user to any bookable and let them manage their own bookings, availability, pricing, and calendar sync — without giving them access to everything else.

For a salon, that might mean every stylist manages their own schedule. For a business with multiple locations, each manager can handle their own bookings.

Dani’s walkthrough does a much better job showing this than I can do describing it:

Shoutout: Gravity Forms 3.0

In lieu of Top Picks this week, I want to give a shoutout to our dev team for the excellent wizarding work they’re putting into patching all the edge cases that have surfaced between our products and Gravity Forms 3.0.

3.0 changed quite a bit under the hood, and naturally, our adventurous customers have wasted no time exploring every nook and cranny. Be sure to read through the full changelog below to see all the compatibility updates we’ve been making across the suites.

4 Ways: to Handle Large Datasets in Gravity Forms

Need a Drop Down with hundreds — or tens of thousands — of choices?

Populate Anything caps results at 500 by default. That’s intentional: loading 40,000 options into a form is generally not a recipe for a good time.

But the 500-result cap isn’t a wall.

Dan walks through four approaches for working with larger datasets, each pulled from a real support ticket — including one that made 40,000+ albums instantly searchable.

Resourcerous: Inline Page Navigation

Here’s a tiny CSS tweak that makes multi-page forms feel quite a bit tighter.

Instead of leaving your Previous and Next buttons on their own row underneath the last field, pull them up alongside it. It’s especially handy for single-field pages or anywhere vertical space is at a premium.

Add the CSS with Code Chest, then add the button-inline class to your Next button.

That’s it. ✨

Product Updates
