🤔 General Deprecation Questions

Why is GP Conditional Logic Dates being deprecated?

Conditional Logic Dates is being deprecated because we released Advanced Conditional Logic, which offers the same features and so much more.

While both plugins let you create conditions based on:

  • Date and Time fields
  • Static dates/times
  • Current date/time
  • Relative dates (e.g., today + 7 days)
  • Recurring dates
  • Days of the week

Advanced Conditional Logic also unlocks conditional AND/OR groups, field-to-field comparisons, advanced operators, and other types of data to use in your logic (like user meta).

What is the deprecation timeline?

Conditional Logic Dates is deprecated effective immediately. While it might continue to function indefinitely, no new features will be added.

If you encounter a bug, we may request that you migrate to Advanced Conditional Logic, although we will continue to address security issues.

Conditional Logic Dates will be officially sunset on August 13th 2027. After this date, it will no longer be available for installation and will not receive further updates. We strongly recommend migrating to Advanced Conditional Logic as soon as possible.

Will I still receive support for Conditional Logic Dates?

Up until it is sunset, yes. We will continue to support Conditional Logic Dates until August 13th 2027, patching security vulnerabilities and handling specific bug fixes.

What happens if I do nothing?

Your forms will continue to function as the code itself remains the same. However, future versions of WordPress, Gravity Forms, or possibly a Gravity Forms community plugin may introduce breaking changes.

Most importantly, Conditional Logic Dates won’t receive any security patches once it reaches its sunset date. For this reason, we recommend migrating to Advanced Conditional Logic at your earliest convenience.
