Greetings, wizards!

I have had a heckin’ busy week getting the kids all prepped to go back to school next Monday. This is a huge year for our family — three of my kids are moving on to the next stage of their education: one to high school, one to middle school, and one to elementary school.

My kids aren’t the only ones growing up this week either. We’ve got two big products hitting major milestones of their own. Let me tell you more!

GC OpenAI 1.1: Latest Models Now Available

Another major release — and this has a deadline. 😬

First, the fun bit: GC OpenAI now supports the latest models, with GPT 5.6 Luna, Terra, and Sol all available to pick from.

Now for the urgent part: OpenAI shuts down the Assistants API on August 26th — that’s next Wednesday. Version 1.1 adds a new Responses endpoint and automatically migrates your existing Assistants feeds and OpenAI Stream fields onto it — so if you’re using Assistants, update now and the migration is handled for you, with no broken forms when the old API goes bye bye. 👋

How To: Filter Gravity Forms Spam with AI

Spam doesn’t look like spam anymore — the junk landing in your entries now reads like it was written by an actual person, with manners, which makes the old “does this look like a bot?” tricks a lot less useful.

Our latest article shows how GF Spam Hexer fights back on two fronts: an invisible Proof of Work check that stops most bots before they reach your form, and AI Classification that reads a submission’s actual content, scores how spammy it is, and flags anything over your threshold — with a reason attached so you know why it got caught.

Snippet: Limit AI Generations Per Visitor

Cap how many times each visitor can trigger an OpenAI request from an OpenAI Stream or Image field — set a per-visitor limit (by logged-in user, IP, or both) and keep runaway usage, and the API bill that comes with it, firmly in check.
