Gravity Wiz Weekly 138
This week’s focus is on proven solutions to real-world problems. Featuring an all-star lineup of Easy Passthrough, Populate Anything, Address Autocomplete, and Notification Scheduler.
Greetings, wizards!
A wise wizard once said, “Perfect is the enemy of good.”
It’s easy to get caught up chasing perfection when good is always good enough.
This week, we’re dedicating our newsletter to resources that aren’t quite as polished as our perks but are still proven solutions to common issues.
At Gravity Wiz, we’re obsessed with finding good solutions to your business problems. And sometimes they’re perfect too. 😉
Address Autocomplete
Address Autocomplete removes the burden of manually entering addresses while improving address accuracy. Plus, this perk is super customizable to fit your address collection needs.
Search Addresses by Place Name — Want to enter the name of a venue, museum, or prominent landmark and automatically populate the address? Use this snippet and you’ll be namedropping in seconds.
Capture Address in a Single Input — Capture a complete address as a single value with this robust snippet. It does require an accompanying Address field to work, which can be hidden. Watch Dario’s video for a full walkthrough.
Easy Passthrough
This perk is still the easiest way to pass data between your forms, and it can do so much more!
Passthrough Partial Entries with Tokens — Let your users pick up where they left off by generating an Easy Passthrough token for their partial entry. Send a notification with a URL to the form and append the saved token; their data will be repopulated automatically!
Edit Entries Conditionally — We have an awesome resource for using Easy Passthrough to not only populate entry data but also edit it. Use this snippet to only edit the entry if a condition is met. Could be as simple as a Radio Button field with “Add New” or “Edit Existing” choices.
Notification Scheduler
Wizards aren’t always known for giving things obvious names but we’re pretty sure we nailed this one. Notification Scheduler lets you, yup, schedule notifications – think onboarding campaigns, recurring anniversary offers, and expiration reminders!
Schedule Text Messages with Twilio and Notification Scheduler — A stop-gap solution that uses a scheduled notification to trigger a Twilio feed instead. The cool thing is this can be entirely configured from the notification and feed settings. No code configuration required!
Custom Notification Schedules — Use this flexible filter to set a custom schedule for your notifications. Need to send a recurring notification on the last day of the month? Or how about scheduling a notification to go out at the start of the next work week?
If you have a custom schedule in mind but aren’t sure how to accomplish it, our Pro subscription includes minor customizations – perfect for tweaks like these!
Populate Anything
Populate Anything is the Swiss Army solution to dynamic, personalized forms. Populate your form’s choices and values from almost any data source, filtered by nearly any property.
Populate Choices from a Comma-delimited Value — Your data is in a comma-delimited list (e.g. “Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner”) and you want to populate each item as its own choice. This snippet gets it done and can be enabled right in the field settings.
Select Choices from a Comma-delimited Value — Same scenario except you need to actually select the choices in your field based on your comma-delimited data. Too easy!

Solutions > perfection. Here’s why
This week’s theme has been all about finding solutions that work. We want to avoid becoming perfectionists here at Gravity Wiz because nearly every day we are working on a new solution for another business problem!
By focusing on solutions over perfection, we’re able to provide new solutions for our Pro customers on a consistent basis. Carolyn Knight’s recent words speak to the outcome of adopting such a process.
Not only are the perks great, but the support at Gravity Perks is AMAZING. I needed to improve the functionality of my website, and even though there wasn’t an out-of-the-box perk that could accomplish what I hoped for, [Gravity Wiz support] looked into my issue and came up with a solution that was easy to implement and worked perfectly. This kind of support is what anyone who runs a website needs, and I’m grateful (as are my customers!). Thank you for the great perks and the great support!
We love you too, Carolyn!
Gravity Perks
GP Conditional Logic Dates (v1.2.1)
- Updated minimum WordPress version from 3.4.2 to 5.3.0.
GP Conditional Pricing (v1.3.8)
- Fixed issue where rules configured using decimal comma number formats (e.g. €5,00) was not working as expected.
GP Inventory (v1.0-beta-2.3)
- Added support for populating inventory limits of single Product fields using GP Populate Anything.
GP Populate Anything (v1.2.3)

- Fixed issue where duplicate Gravity Forms Entry values in multi-input fields would be de-duplicated when populated into other inputs.
- Fixed issue where all value templates for Product fields could be converted to currency-formatted numbers instead of only the price value template.
GP Post Content Merge Tags (v1.3.4)
- Added “Update URI” to plugin header to improve security.
- Fixed regression where the Pretty ID was not registered as an entry meta key which prevented it from showing up in options such as Field Maps.
